Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Supper will be provided at SWEATCON 2025. Because dinner is not provided, attendees are encouraged to either bring their own dinner or grab something from Carnes Hill Marketplace or nearby fast food restaurants.

 

Strand Groups

1:00PM each afternoon

Strand Groups give you the skills to understand and teach the Bible.

 

Strand 1: Understanding & Applying a Bible Passage

Strand 2: Biblical Theology: An Overview of the Whole Bible

Strand 3: Thinking Theologically: What the Bible says about…everything!

Strand 4: Christian Ethics: Working out God’s way in a wayward world

Strand 5: Unpacking a Bible Book (a different book each year)

Youth: Strand material adapted for high school aged students
 

 

Start with Strand 1 and work through them in order each year. NextGen and AFES NTE prior learning is recognised.

Strand 2 is recognised prior learning for Youthworks SRE Accreditation Training Module 5: Bible Foundations.

Strand 4 on Christian Ethics will help you tackle tricky topics and tough questions with a solid understanding of the Bible. If you have previously completed Strand 4: Christian Leadership, you are invited to do the new material in this strand. Our Christian Leadership material will be delivered in a series of workshops available in the afternoon.

Pastor’s Workshop

Thursday 16 January

4:00PM-5:45PM at Hoxton Park Anglican
Cost: FREE

Come and be refreshed at the Pastor’s Workshop. Gather with other ministry workers who get it.

Dan Wu will be running a session on “How to preach the Old Testament”

Infants

Infants too young for our preschool program are welcome to accompany their parents throughout the conference.

A cry room is available during the morning and evening sessions for infants to be supervised by their parents.


Preschool program

For walkers to under 5s (limited numbers)

SWEATCON Kids 

For children who are enrolled in primary school (K-6) in 2025 (limited numbers)

Age appropriate programs of games, singing, crafts and bible stories to help children learn how much God loves them in Jesus.

A space will be available for younger children to take naps as needed under the supervision of the leaders.

Kids register according to the grade they are enrolled in for the coming school year.

Program runs for morning session and strand groups only and does not include meal times or workshops.

 

YOUTH

Years 7 - 12 in 2025

Youth are welcome to join a Youth Strand Group, as well as attend sessions and workshops.

Safety

All SWEATCON volunteers have verified WWCC numbers and up-to-date Safe Ministry training.

Children will need to be signed in and out by their parent/guardian before and after each session and meal time.
